About Me

Greetings, my name is Asia Lee.  I am from Montgomery Alabama. I am the third of six children and I am a graduate of Auburn University. I have been creative for all of my life and have done many arts and crafts.  But the thing that really excited me was drawing.  I could look at a person or thing and draw it just as it appears. I have even won a city wide drawing competition for my rendition of the Thanksgiving Holiday. As time went on I was able to hone in on my skills on drawing people, things, houses, buildings, and landscapes.

Being excited about college, I thought my skills in drawing would be best used in Architecture, but I soon found out that it did not afford to me the creativity that I wanted in a profession, so I changed my major to Graphic Design.  It seemed that Graphic Design was a better fit for what I wanted to do with my creative skills.  I could be more creative specifically in making different kinds of art (which is what I like to do) whether digitally or by hand.  There are many different things I could do with a Graphic Design Degree such as, designing magazine covers, interiors, signs and much more. Along with my Graphic Design major, I've also decided to minor in Studio Art.

In pursuing my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, with a minor in Studio Art, I plan to use my creative skills to design things that can be beneficial to society and use products in the designs that are good for the environment.  I believe as a Graphic Designer, I am not designing for my personal gratification, but creating pieces of art that can enhance the lives of humanity.
